The Turkish Cup draw took place at the Marmara Hotel and Beşiktaş Cola Turka Men’s Basketball Head Coach Ergin Ataman assessed his team’s chances after pairing with the formidable Efes Pilsen in the first round:

“We certainly picked a strong side in the first round, but after losing them in the League, now it is our turn to make the fans happy. Otherwise, it is a fairly decent draw because every team will go there to win the Cup. At this stage of the tournament, the teams should pay no attention to whom they play against. Our strategy is to proceed step by step, beating everyone that comes along. We’ll go to Kayseri to lift the Cup.”
On the other hand, Beşiktaş Cola Turka’s veteran player Cüneyt Erden pointed out that the draw gave them a good chance to settle scores with mighty Efes Pilsen.
