Adalı: Schuster is now happy

According to Beşiktaş Deputy-Chairman and Head of Football Committee Mr. Serdar Adalı, team boss Bernd Schuster is quite happy with the new Portuguese players on his squad.

Responding to after-lunch questions at the Gloria Golf Club, Mr. Adalı made some important revelations about Beşiktaş’s future signings:
“If they decide to play in Turkey, we may be interested in signing Halil and Hamit Altıntop brothers. We’ve heard that their managers are open to all kinds of offers. So far, we have not made any official offer. They must first show a real desire to play in our country.
Manager Bernd Shuster delivered his thanks to our Chairman Yıldırım Demirören for the new players. We did the best we could on this matter. Now the ball is in Mr. Schuster’s hands.  Everywhere in the world, it is the manager’s responsibility to get the best out his players. We will sit back and watch the developments.
Tomorrow, we will have a final meeting with the President of Eskişehirspor Halil Ünal on Sezer Öztürk’s transfer to Beşiktaş here in Antalya. We’ve held several meetings on this issue but could reach a deal. We hope to finalise this transfer on Saturday.”
Football Committee Member Cengiz Zülfikaroğlu also took the floor and explained Beşiktaş’s latest stand on Brazilian striker Bobo, “No one should seek to create a crisis over our contracted player Bobo. At the end of the season, we’ll sit down and discuss his future with the club.”
