According to Beşiktaş Manager Bernd Schuster, the Eagles deserved to win against Gaziantepspor:

“I am satisfied with our performance but not the result. We should have won tonight because we deserved it. Especially in the second half, we definitely were the better side on the pitch and created enough chances to win this match comfortably but unfortunately we failed to convert them. Despite our current place in the table, our fans should not be worried because with the returning of our injured players and new additions will be a much stronger team in the second half of the season.
The injuries cost us a lot this season. Without them, we would be in a higher place in the table right now, and the point difference with the league leader would not be this much. I did not come here just for one season. I am trying to create a team that stay up there for many years to come, and these things don’t happen overnight. Sometimes, it takes many seasons to become a champion but I am happy with the rapid progress we have made so far. 
Now, we have a period during which we will add some new players to our team while our injured players fully recover. I am sure the fans will see a much-improved Beşiktaş in the second half of the League. We are on the right tract and getting better every day. If we can remain healthy until the end of the season, you will be surprised to see what we are going to achieve, because no matter what the others say, this team has potential.”
When asked about the injuries the team has been sustaining lately, Schuster replied, “I’ve never seen so many injuries in one season. It seems everyone is out to get us with whatever means they can find. But they keep forgetting that this is a gentleman’s sport. We have deep concerns about this matter, because it is not easy to win matches when your key players are sitting on the bench.”
