Relieved Beşiktaş boss Bernd Schuster was much happier with the three points than with his lads’ performance on the pitch: 

“I am happy with the three points which was the main thing tonight. We needed this match to put an end to our losing streak and get back into the title race. Because of this pressure, our performance was way below par. After the second goal, we thought we had match in the bag and started playing poorly. They took advantage of this and got back into the game. Sivasspor were definitely the better side in the second half. They were virtually all over us in the dying minutes, but our defence managed to weather the storm. We were lucky to escape with a narrow win. Otherwise, we would be talking different things right now.”
