Beşiktaş Cola Turka 84, Deutsche Bank Skyliners 76

In the replay of FIBA Eurocup Preliminary round, Beşiktaş Cola Turka Men’s Basketball edged past Deutsche Bank Skyliners of Germany 84-76 at BJK Cola Turka Arena to qualify for the group stage.

Holding a seven point, 68-61, advantage from the first game, the Black Eagles BJK Cola started off hot and went on build a 23-11 cushion by the end of first. The Germans showed some signs of life in the second but still trailed 38-29 at the break.
Skyliners gave everything they’ve got in the third as they began to hit a flurry of threes from all angles to pull within 3 at 40-37 just three minutes into the second half. Beşiktaş Cola Turka responded with its own rally and stretched the lead back to eight, only to see the Germans come back and tie it up 48 with 3:30 left on the clock. The teams exchanged baskets rest of the way, but a late run gave the visitors a 58-53 lead heading into the final quarter.
After opening the fourth with a pair of free throws by Mustafa Abi, the Black and White regained its momentum and managed to jump back in front, 59-58, with 7:00 remaining in the game, on a Mike Chatman layup. From there on, it was all Beşiktaş Cola Turka as the Eagles sailed to an 84-76 win and advanced to the group phase of the FIBA Eurocup tournament.
