Beşiktaş Manager Bernhard Schuster weighed in on Istanbul derby after the one-all draw:
“Salvaging a draw from this difficult match with a late goal is surely a big relief for all of us. The injuries we suffered in the first-half had affected our performance negatively because we lost our focus. They had their chances after our forced substitutions, but we definitely were the better side in the second half. I must admit Fenerbahçe keeper also squandered away our time while they were a goal up. If he didn’t, we might’ve scored earlier. The match could’ve gone either way, and I’ve enjoyed it a lot. We’ve shown everyone once again that this team won’t give up until it is really over. As long as they score, I don’t much care about who takes the penalty kicks. When you have prolific goal scorers like Bobo and Guti, you can’t go wrong in those situations.”
