A delighted Bern Schuster laid it all out for the press after the victory:

“We have been playing on terrible pitches lately. The pitch we had here tonight was no different than last week’s. It is not possible to stage good football on these types of poor pitches, and you may end up losing the match like we did the past week. To win an away game with such score under these difficult conditions is of course quite satisfactory. 
As you all see, we are getting better every other game, but there is no easy match this season. Since all teams are loaded with talented players, any team can beat the other at anywhere, any time. So we have to be careful regardless of where we play.
The same goes for our UEFA Europa League opponents. They may not look too strong on the paper, but they are still tough teams to beat. At any rate, I expect to finish our group matches among the top two. It’s not going to be easy, but our team is capable of going further than the group stage.”
