Beşiktaş’s third goalkeeper Cenk Gönen has been selected to the Turkish National Team. He is to replace Beşiktaş’s injured keeper Hakan Arıkan in the opener of 2012 Euro groups stage scheduled against Kazakhstan on September 3.

Following extensive tests, it was announced that Hakan Arıkan’s left ankle injury keep sidelined for at least couple of weeks. In his replacement, the Eagles’ young keeper Cenk Gönen, who also starts for the Turkish U23 squad, will put on the national team’s jersey.
