Following the Eagles’ 1-0 away win against Bucaspor, Beşiktaş Captain İbrahim Özülmez, goal scorer Bobo and young defender Necip Uysal shared their thoughts with the press:

İbrahim Üzülmez: “First off all I would like wish all our opponents a very successful season. I expect to talk more about our football on the pitch than referees’ bad calls this season. As you have all witnessed tonight, we are aiming at the top spot and will settle for nothing less. Since every three points count, we must take each game separately and play accordingly. Tonight, we dominated right from the start and did not ease up till the end. We also missed some golden opportunities early on. Those wasted chances show that we need to work on our finishes. Nevertheless, everyone did his share and played an important role in this valuable win. We are new team, and we’ll get better in the weeks to come.”
Bobo: “We are a much stronger side than last year. If we can stay healthy, no one can put a dent into our title hopes this season. It is always uplifting to start the season with a game winning goal. I expect to score more goals this season.”
Necip Uysal: “This season, I will definitely gain more experience out there, because I’m on the same team with international stars like Guti and Quaresma. I’ve already learned a lot from them.  I’m also glad that we’ve kicked off the league with a victory; we must now work on the ways to keep them coming.”
