Dear Beşiktaş Supporters,
This season, we have higher hopes than the previous one, because we have bolstered our team with a number of internationally proven stars and a world-famous manager. Our new signings Ricordo Quaresma from Barcelona and Guti Hernandez from Real Madrid have been among the finest in Europe for quite sometime. They are superstars of the first magnitude. Let’s not forget the German midfielder Roberto Hilbert of Bundesliga side Stuttgart along with the promising goalkeeper Cenk Gönen from Denizlispor, who are both going to help us out when we need them. We have also brought the internally acclaimed German Manager Bernd Schuster abroad to coach this promising team. Just like you, we are impatiently looking forward to take our seats at the BJK Inonu Stadium and watch the Black Eagles take us to great heights once more.
It was no easy task to put together this dream-team, so I thank everyone, especially our Board, for the hard work they have put in during the process. Without their support nothing would be possible. I hope you’ll appreciate all this effort and stand behind us and this great team until the end of our final game.
As a devout fan of this glorious club, your turn has also come up. Go out and do your part by filling the stands completely and providing non-stop cheering for the Eagles throughout game they play. Never let your beloved Beşiktaş walk alone… This season, you will not only enjoy the performances of the Black and White but feel privileged and proud to have such team to support. This season’s roster is definitely the best we’ve had in years. Besides laying claim to all Turkish titles, grabbing a Cup in Europe is still in the cards and not a long-shot possibility; so get ready for surprises in the weeks to come…
I am confidant that this season, we’ll be able to attain that elusive unity and stability we desperately sought last year. At present, there is a powerful combination of synergy and excitement inside the club, which can be considered as a harbinger of good things to come. As I often say, if we can display our traditional togetherness, no one can keep us from realizing our goals. We must also show our sportsmanship towards others on and off the field throughout the season. A true Beşiktaş fan is the one who backs his club regardless of the score and applauds his opponent when it is required. If we want to be world-class team appreciated by all, we must ensure that this positive fan behavior is passed on from generation to generations.
With this opportunity, I would like to wish all the teams participating in this season’s formidable race a very successful season.  As members of Beşiktaş management, in addition to spreading sportsmanship around the league, we’ll watch what we say at the end of the games this season, because those post-game polemics often end up hurting our club in one way or another.
Finally, I would like express my personal gratitude to our former Manager Mustafa Denizli, who left us due to his health problems at the end of the last season. Dear Coach, you helped us lay the foundation of this season’s team so you’ll always have a special place in our hearts. We are all grateful to you for what you’ve achieved and we will never forget you. I hope we can repeat your double cup triumph of 2008-09 and even go beyond…
