A Grand Signing Ceremony at BJK İnönü Stadium

Beşiktaş’s has signed the world famous midfielder Guti Hernandez, who had played 15 straight seasons for the football giants Real Madrid, in a special ceremony attended by the Chairman Yıldırım Demirören and thousands of die-hard fans.

BJK İnönü Stadium had another memorable evening last night with large groups of devoted Beşiktaş supporters packing the stands just to witness the signing of their new star from Spain. When the Spanish player showed some ball tricks after the ceremony, the crowd went wild and cheered him on until he left the stadium.

During the event hosted by showman Zafer Algöz, Beşiktaş Chairman Yıdırım Demirören made a brief speech and said: “Now, everyone has seen what this club is capable of. Starting from today, we are setting our eyes on the Turkish and UEFA Europa League. Just keep watching us. But as fans of a team full of proven international stars, you must stand united behind us and back us up until reach our goals. I wish our Guti a very successful season.”
Then Guti picked up the microphone and addressed the fans, “Thank you for coming here in this hot summer night. I can’t explain how excited and proud I am right now. To be a part of Beşiktaş and you is definitely a great honor for me, which I will cherish for the rest of my life. I will work hard and do everything in my power to be worthy of your support. Playing for a team with fans such as you are will be like a dream coming true, because I am as hot as you are.
With this opportunity, I’d like to than our Chairman, Yıldırım Demirören, Vice-Chairman and Head of Football Committee Serdal Adalı and Football Committee Member Cengiz Zülfikaroğlu for making my transfer possible.

With your unwavering, solid support, we will win the Turkish League Championship this season, and come the next season, we will go after the Champions League title.

After the speeches, Guti and Beşiktaş management signed the contracts and shook hands. During the process, hundreds of torches were lit and thousands of black and white colored balloons were set free inside the stadium to mark the event. 

Then, much to the pleasure of the crowd, the Spanish star took the field and showed some tricks of his own with the balls placed in front of him. At the end of each trick, he kicked the ball to the fans, who tried to take it home as souvenirs.

Nearly all Beşiktaş Board Management were present to watch the ceremony, which ended with the fans breaking into Beşiktaş marches and chants.
