The Black and Whites carried their momentum into the second half and doubled the lead when Kahveci scored his second on 65 minutes. Ekrem Dağ, who replaced Erhan Güven in the 73rd minute, won a penalty kick for Beşiktaş at the 77-minute mark, but Quaresma shot it over the bar. Schuster substituted Necip Uysal and Nobre for Delgado and Nihat Kahveci six minutes before full time, and the Brazilian striker Nobre answered the call would with superb finish in the final minute of the match to give the Eagles a three-goal cushion for the return match in Faroe Islands.
The second leg is to be played on July 22 with the qualifier advancing to the 3rd Preliminary Round of the Europa League.
