Beşiktaş U-16 Academy squad edged past Denizlispor 1-0 in the final of Coca Cola Tournament to win the national title.

At the end of nationals held at the Mardan Sports Complex in Antalya City, the Young Eagles managed to overcome their formidable opponents one by one and were crowned as national champions, leaving all their travelling fans overjoyed and proud.  
A 38th-minute goal by Furkan İyde was enough to bring the title to Beşiktaş. After a hard-fought final against mighty Denizlispor, the players, coaching staff and fans got together to celebrate the victory with championship songs and chants that lasted late into the afternoon. 
U-16 Academy Manager Haluk Duranoğlu shared his feelings with our web site: “We are extremely delighted with this outcome. To come out of this tough tournament with a first place finish is not an easy thing to do. But we battled hard and deserved it. I am proud of all my players. We will continue to raise future stars for Beşiktaş and Turkish Football.”
