Diyarbakırspor 1 – 3 Beşiktaş

On Day 32 of the Turkcell Super League, Beşiktaş won 3-1 away to Diyarbakırspor with goals from İbrahim Toraman (25), Abdullah Çetin (own goal, 67) and Tello (83).

Due to Diyarbakır’s suspension, the match refereed by Halis Özkahya was played in front of empty stands.
Both teams looked fairly even early on until İbrahim Toroman put the Black and White ahead in the 25th minute to cap a well-executed attack from the left flank. Nihat Kahveci almost doubled Beşiktaş’s lead in the closing minutes, but his shot hit the post and went out. The Eagles were a goal up at half time.
Tazemeta brought the sides back on level terms at the start of the second half with a nice flick. Right after unlucky Nihat Kahveci pounded the Diyarbakırspor goal post once again, Beşiktaş regained the lead courtesy of an own goal by the home team’s full-back Abdullah Çetin, who diverted Bobo’s shot into his own net on 67 minutes.

At the 81-minute mark, Uğur İnceman replaced Necip Uysal to bolster the front line. Two minutes later, Tello headed in Ernst’s well-taken cross to put the game away for good. The Eagles brought on İbrahim Kaş and Serdar Özkan for Tello and Nihat Kahveci in the closing stages to strengthen defence and play out the remaining minutes. The tactic worked as they ran out 3-1 winners and picked up another valuable 3 points.
