Following the Eagles’  2-2 home draw against Sivasspor, Beşiktaş  Manager Mustafa Denizli commented on his team’s performance and future plans in regular press conference:

“As you all saw out there tonight, we tried our best to win this match. Due to last week’s heartbreaking loss, our morale was real down coming into this match, so we did not look too good in the first half. But it was different story in the second half; we managed to pull ourselves together and created enough chances to win comfortably. Although they scored first, the tremendous support we received from our fans helped us get back on tract quickly. Had we capitalized on our second-half chances, we could’ve won big tonight. 
Our fans were on our side all the way in this one. After witnessing the biased refereeing of the past two weeks, which cost valuable points, they saw what we were up against and decided to throw all their support behind us. As true Beşiktaş supporters, they showed everyone how much they loved and trusted us. We badly needed their backing in these difficult times. 
If we lose the title race this season, we cannot solely put the blame on referees. I must admit we’ve also had our own share of our ups and downs throughout the season. The management fulfilled their part and met our financial needs most of the time. It was up to us to achieve our goals, but a combination of factors, including a not-so bright performance, took us away from our target. Once the season is over, we must look into where went wrong.  
Despite the rumours, I have no problem with Batuhan Karadeniz. He will have the same chances with the others to make the team next season. If he had met our standards during the pre-season training, we wouldn’t loan him to another team. If he wants to play for Beşiktaş, he needs to be better. Since he still is a young player, he has lots to learn. If he takes a close look at himself, he will easily see where he needs to be improved. By giving him a chance to play against Manchester United we’ve done our part. Now it’s he who has to decide besides Beşiktaş is not a team which relies on one specific player.”
