The Lady Eagles dropped a 3-2 heartbreaker to cross-town rival Galatasaray in Game 1 of the playoff first round at BJK Cola Turka Arena this afternoon.

The Black and White took the opening set 25-22, but the yellow and red visitors bounced back to grab the second 25-23 to level the game at one set apiece. Beşiktaş managed to seize the third set 25-20 and made it 2-1, only to see Galatasaray win the next one 25-13 and force a fifth set. The visitors won the tie-break 15-9 and the match 3-2.

The Game 2 of the best of three series will take place at the Burhan Felek 50th Year Sports Hall on Monday, April 19 at 17:30.
