Below is a statement issued by the Beşiktaş Board of Directors regarding the extension of Mustafa Denizli’s contract:

“Beşiktaş Management has extended  the Manager Mustafa Denizli’s contract with the club by another year. The new contract covers the period from June 1, 2010 through June 1, 2011.
By renewing his contract, we have not only demonstrated our confidence in his work but also reaffirmed our commitment to long term stability within the club regardless of match results.
We have no doubt that as one of the greatest Turkish football managers of all times, Mr. Denizli will take Beşiktaş to new heights next season.  Thanking him for understanding he has shown on financial matters, we wish him all the best.
