Beşiktaş Cola Turka 83, Fenerbahçe Ülker 68

In Week 27’s matchup, Beşiktaş Cola Turka routed Fenerbahçe Ülker, 83-68, at the Akatlar Cola Turka Arena.

Both teams crowded under the hoop and played tight defense early on to prevent each other from getting easy layups. After trading baskets for most of the first quarter, the Eagles, roared on by their fans, got 9 straight points from Engin Atsür to pull ahead, 16-8, with 3:05 remaining. But Semih began to use his size at both ends of the court and sparked an 11-0 Fenerbahçe run within a span of two minutes to put his team in front 19-16 entering the final minute. Nevertheless, a last-second Haluk Yıldırım three-pointer helped Beşiktaş Cola Turka tie the score at 21-21, going into the second stanza.
The visitors tried to remain within striking distance with Greer in the second but were unable to stop Cevher Özer from hitting three-pointers all over the place. The Black and White opened up a 6-point lead at 44-38 on an Engin Atsür fadeaway before the teams went into halftime. Engin Atsür put out a stellar performance for the Eagles in the first half with 15 points, 6 boards and 4 assists.
Beşiktaş Cola Turka was in control during the entire third quarter while Fenerbahçe Ülker struggled with a series of unforced turnovers and poor shooting. Cevher Özer continued to connect from outside as the Black and White extended the margin to 9 points, 62-53, after three periods of play.

The Eagles tightened up on defense in the fourth and forced their arch-rivals to outside shots. Unable to get any offense going, Fenerbahçe Ülker were down by 13 points, 74-81, midway through the final quarter. Beşiktaş Cola Turka never looked back in the remaining minutes and cruised to an 83-68 victory to avenge the previous loss.
While yellow and navy blue Fenerbahçe shot 38 percent on 2-point field goals and 34 percent from the 3-point range, the red-hot Black and White played with a much higher percentage. The Black Eagles piled up 17 assists against 8 for the visitors. In the meantime, sure-handed Cevher Özer scored a game-high 25 points for Beşiktaş Cola Turka.
