At the end of the 4-week beach volley nationals, while Beşiktaş’s Women’s Beach Volleyball Team grabbed the top spot, the Men’s Squad came second after their defeat against Halkbankası.

The Week 4 matches of the first ever Turkish championship were played out at the TVF Alsancak Beach Court in Izmir City today and yesterday.
The Lady Eagles, who had clinched the title last week, beat Gazi University and Tireboluspor by the similar score of 2-0 yesterday and won over the Numune Özcan by default today to win the first ever Turkish Beach Volleyball Championship. The team coached by Onur Ergenç is made up of players Hatice Can Korucu and İzolda Körfez.
Meanwhile, Men’s Beach Volleyball lost its final match to Halkbankası 2-1 today, after defeating Polis Academy and Penta Computer both 2-0 yesterday, to end the first ever nationals in second place. Both teams took their cups and medals in ceremony organized after the matches. Beşiktaş Men’s Beach Volleyball Team is also coached by Onur Ergenç and consists of players Hakan Göğtepe and Volkan Göğtepe.
