Beşiktaş Bantam Wrestling Team captured the second place at the Istanbul Free Style Bantam Wrestling Championship that took place at the Eyüp Sports Hall between March 27 and 28.

Competing with 11 wrestlers, the Eagles garnered 4 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medals.

The Black and White picked up 63 points and came second as a team after Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, who gathered 65 points in total.
With these results, 8 Beşiktaş wrestlers earned the right to participate in the Turkish Championship to be held in Çorum City on June.
In the meantime, Tuncay Tacer, Mehmet Doğukan Akgün, Mehmet Akif Türkmen and Ferhat Aslan from the Beşiktaş Junior Wrestling Team were called up for the Turkish National Team’s training camp to be held in Kuşadası, Izmir until April 11.
