Beşiktaş 3 – 2 Eskişehirspor

The Black Eagles came back from two goals down to beat Eskişehirsor 3-2 at Inonu Stadium on Day 27 of the Turkcell Super League.

The visitors from Eskişehir City made a bright start and shocked the Black and White with an early opener, when Ümit Karan sent home a deflected pass off Beşiktaş’s defender Ferrari just two minutes into the match. While the Eagles were still reeling from the shock, Umit Karan scored his second with a 20th-minute penalty, awarded after Ernst brought down Alper inside the box, to make it 2-0 for Eskişehirspor. The two-goal deficit woke up Beşiktaş as they turned up the intensity to get back into the game. Following a flurry of clear-cut chances and a series of superb saves by the keeper Ivesa, the Black and Whites finally pulled one back through Nihat Kahveci on 31 minutes. After the referee disallowed a 44th-minute Bobo goal for offside, the first half ended, 2-1, in favour of the visitors.
Beşiktaş kept their feet on the gas pedal and displayed some great offensive football in the second half as Bobo brought the teams on level terms after 59 minutes. From that on point on, the Eagles took complete control and searched for the winner with fast attacks from both flanks. And in the 73rd minute their pressure paid off when Holosko gave them a 3-2 lead with a clever shot from close-range. Neither side managed to change the scoresheet during the remaining minutes as Beşiktaş ran out 3-2 victors and picked up another vital three points.
