Here is Beşiktaş Manager Mustafa Denizli’s assessment of the 1-1 draw against Kasımpaşa:

“We created a flurry of chances throughout the match and scored two well-executed goals but, we also made some uncharacteristic defensive blunders that allowed them to equalise in the end.  If you are chasing the title, you cannot afford to make that kind of silly mistakes, especially so late in the game. Unfortunately, tonight, our defence did not have the best of the day and disappointed us. We will surely miss the points we’ve dropped here but what can you do? It is a part of the game. We must forget this match and look ahead to the next one.
Sivok suffered a stomach upset during the break. We gave him some medicine, but it didn’t work out so we had to replace him. His absence also had a negative impact on our defensive performance.
I believe we could’ve won this match in the first half had Holosko and Tello converted their chances early on. Despite our defensive woes, we definitely looked more creative and sharp up front. Now, we must await the results of the other matches to see where we are on the table. But this is rather bothersome because Beşiktaş is a team who determines its won destiny.”
