Beşiktaş Men’s Handball Squad and visiting İzmir Metrolitan Municipality battled to a 30-30 draw at the Süleyman Seba Sports Hall in the first leg of the Turkish Cup.

A boisterous Beşiktaş crowd packed the stands and supported the Black and White throughout the match.The lead changed hand several times in the first half, but the visitors from İzmir City managed to hold a slim 13-11 edge at the interval. Even though the Black Eagles looked better organized in the second half, İzmir Municipality matched every goal Beşiktaş scored with one of their own as the game ended in a 30-30 draw.
Deputy-Chairman Erdoğan Toprak, General Secretary Fahrettin Curoğlu, Football Committee and Board Member Responsible for Amateur Sports, Investments and Associations Doğan Küçükemre and Board Member Responsible for Facilities Orhan Saka all attended the final.
The second leg of the final will take place at the İzmir Celal Atik Sports Hall on Wednesday, March 24, at 18:00.
