Beşiktaş Cola Turka Women’s Basketball fell to the visiting Mersin Metropolitan Municipality 87-80 in Week 18’s game at Akatlar Cola Turka Arena yesterday.

The game was a close affair right from the opening tip as the first quarter ended in a 24-24 tie. The teams continued to swap baskets in the second, but the visitors from Mersin City nursed a slim 46-44 advantage at the halftime break. The third quarter was not much different from the previous ones with Mersin Metropolitan Municipality still ahead, 62-58. The Lady Black and Whites tried desperately to gain the upper hand in the fourth, but all their attempts fell short as the orange and blue team walked off the court with a hard-fought 87-80 victory.
