Galatasaray:85 Beşiktaş Cola Turka:61

For Week 16’s contest of the season, Beşiktaş Cola Turka Women’s Basketball visited Galatasaray at the Abdi İpekçi Sports Hall and came away with an 85-61 loss.

The host Galatasaray got off to a fast start and opened up a 6-point, 12-6, lead midway through the opening quarter. The Lady Eagles tried to trim the deficit with the scoring of Nykesha, but the yellow and red arch-rival received consecutive three-pointers from the hot-shooting trio of Yasemin Horasan, Tuğba Palazoğlu and Tamika Catchings to take a 25-13 cushion into the second.
Galatasaray continued to dominate the game at both ends of the court in the second stanza, and thanks to a barrage of 3-point shots by Bahar Çağlar, kept padding the lead. By the end of the first half, the home team had built a huge 17-point, 51-34, advantage.

The third quarter was not much different than the previous ones, as Galatasaray took advantage of a series of Beşiktaş Cola Turka turnovers and protected the margin. The yellow and reds were up, 69-46, going into final quarter of play. Buoyed by an insurmountable 23-point lead, Galatasaray was never pressured in the fourth as it rolled past the Black and White 85-61.
