In Week 15 of the Turkish Basketball League, Beşiktaş Cola Turka Women’s Basketball pulled out a 70-65 win over the visiting Samsun Basketball at Akatlar Cola Turka Arena.

After Sales converted a steal into a fast-break layup for the Black Eagles to start the game; Gülşah Akkaya and İlsu Darıcıoğlu each hit jumpers, and Katryna Renee Gaither followed with a three-pointer from the corner to put the visitors ahead 7-2 two minutes into the quarter. But the Black and White got consecutive buckets from Sales, Esra Erden and Shavonte Sade Zellous to go back in front, 13-11, with 6:10 remaining. From that moment on, though, Beşiktaş Cola Turka managed only 2 points the rest of the way, as Samsun Basket used a 15-2 run to open up a 9 point, 26-15, lead heading into the second.
In order to shake off their shooting woes, the Lady Eagles had to turn to their bench in the second stanza and rode the hot hand of Gergena Branzova Erdenay to tie it up at 30 midway through the quarter. Then Sales teamed up with Zellous, Naile İvegin and Kelly Santos to give the Black and White a 39-34 edge at the half. 
Andrea Shantia Gardner-Combs and Quianna Nehma Chaney of Samsun Basket found their shots in the third quarter, combining to score 14 points, which would put the visitors back on top, 48-42, at the halfway mark. The Lady Black and Whites tried real hard to erase the deficit but were still down, 52-48, after three hard-fought quarters of play.
The teams gave everything they got in the final frame, but an early flurry of 3-point shots by the sure-handed Kelly Santos, Sandra Mandir and Esra Erden helped the Eagles put together a 13-4 run that made it 61-56 for Beşiktaş Cola Turka. Samsun Basket tried to answer with Gülşah and Chaney but could not find a way to stop Santos. The visitors resorted to personal fouls in the dying seconds to salvage the game, only to see Lucie Melek Bouthors sink all her free throws and lift Beşiktaş Cola Turka to a well-deserved 70-65 home court win.
