Antalyaspor 0 – 1 Beşiktaş

The Black Eagles paid a visit to Antalyaspor at Antalya Atatürk Stadium on Matchday 19 of the Turkcell Super League and ran out 1-0 winners with Bobo scoring from a penalty kick.

The early exchanges were a scrappy affair played out mostly in midfield with very few chances at either end. Bobo had a decent opportunity in the 10th minute, but his close-range shot went wide of the net. As the match progressed, penetrating attacks initiated by Tello and Tabata helped the Black and White gain the upper hand and keep Antalyaspor in their own half. In the dying minutes, Beşiktaş tried to break down the home side’s defence through the relentless running of İbrahim Üzülmez and Ekrem Dağ, but the host Antalya managed to hang tough as they took a goalless draw into the break.
Beşiktaş came out with greater determination in the second half and started pressing for the lead. Following a close call by Sivok, they finally had their break when Antalyaspor’s Orhan gave away a penalty for handling in the area during a corner kick scrimmage. This time, Bobo made no mistake with his shot and gave the Eagles a one-goal advantage on 55 minutes. The goal forced Antalya to abandon their defensive style and push forward in search of a quick equaliser, while Beşiktaş pulled back into defence and relied on counter-attacking football. Despite a number of dangerous opportunities and narrow misses by Necati and Djehoua, Beşiktaş held firm rest of the way and brought on Holosko and Necip for Tabata and Nihat in the remaining minutes to secure the much-needed 1-0 win and all three points.
