The Annual General Meeting of Beşiktaş Gymnastics Club for 2009 convened over the weekend.

The meeting has been held at Lutfi Kırdar International Convention and Exhibition Center in Istanbul.
After electing Mr. Uluç Gürkan to cahir the meeting, Beşiktaş’s acting President Yıldırım Demirören delivered the opening speech and said:
“We are all here to serve Beşiktaş and have no other ambitions. Beşiktaş have won 5 titles during our administration. We also managed to complete the Fulya Project. I am sure Beşiktaş will take another step forward at the end of this meeting.
But I have one request from you. You must give your full support to whoever wins in the presidential race. Otherwise, this club goes nowhere. I wish all of you a very pleasant meeting.”
KENAN ÖNER: “2009 WAS A GREAT YEAR FOR BEŞİKTAŞ”
The General Secretary of Beşiktaş Mr. Kenan Öner also took the floor and reviewed the financial performance and progress of the Club in 2009:
“Last season, we were double-cup winners and completed the Fulya Project on time as we promised, so 2009 was a great year for our club. These noteworthy achievements belong not only to a few who have in charge but to whole Beşiktaş community. Without your constant support and motivation, we wouldn’t be able to realize all these goals. No other club in Turkey has such solidarity and unity. This is what makes us different from others. Winning both the National League and Turkish Cup after 19 season is not something to be taken lightly. Those who are jealous of our achievements have been trying to discredit us.” 
BOARD EXONERATED
After a meticulous review of the Club’s financial transactions, Beşiktaş Board of Directors and Auditing Board were both exonerated separately at the Annual General Meeting by majority of votes.
On the other hand, the club budget for the year 2010 was approved as 36 million and 500 thousand Turkish Liras by majority of the votes.
