Beşiktaş:1 Kasımpaşaspor:3

The Black and White lost 3-1 to Kasımpaşaspor at home on Day 3 of the Ziraat Turkish Cup.

Although The Eagles controlled most of the early action, it was the visitors who would take the lead after 7 minutes when Merthan headed home a corner kick sent from the left side. Beşiktaş dug deep for a quick equaliser and came close on a couple of occasions but, Bobo and Ernst took turns to fire their shots above the crossbar. Then, Cenk İşler finished off a fast Kasımpaşa counter attack with a powerful header to put his side two goals up just five minutes after the first. While the Eagles were still reeling from the shock of two quick goals, Moritz, who was brought down by İbrahim Kaş just inside the box in the 26th minute, made it 3-0 for Kasımpaşa from a penalty kick and stunned the local crowd, who braved another cold winter night for their beloved team. Pushing forward more, Beşiktaş finally managed to get a goal back with Yusuf Şimşek two minutes from half time and were behind 3-1 at the break.
Bringing on forwards Holosko, Necip and Nobre, the Eagles spent almost the entire second 45 minutes camped in visitors’ half and  created a flurry of chances to cut the deficit but could not find the key to unlock the dogged Kasımpaşa defence. Despite being peppered with shots from all angles, the dark blue and white visiting team stood firm until the final whistle to claim all three points.
