Football Team Make Tournament Final

After playing to a 4-4 draw in regulation, the Black and White beat the Dutch first division side BV. Vitesse, 8-6, in a penalty shoot-out and advanced to the Tuttur.Com Tournament Final.

The match refereed by Burak Astar was played at the Antalya WOW football Center in front a large and vocal Beşiktaş crowd.
Nicky Hofs opened the scoring for the visitors after 5 minutes with well-taken free-kick from 25 yards out. Then former Beşiktaş striker Sinan Kaloğlu converted a 15th-minute penalty to put Vitesse two goals up. But Beşiktaş recovered quickly and pulled one back when Tello curled in a 24th- minute free-kick that past the diving Dutch keeper and found the top corner. Eight minutes later, Nihat Kahveci struck from inside the box to level the score at 2 goals apiece. However, another Turkish descent player Korcan Çelikay would put the Dutch side back in front 7 minutes before the halftime after beating the young Beşiktaş keeper Korcan Çelikay in a one-on-one situation. Vitesse carried a 3-2 advantage into intermission.
Beşiktaş started the second half with Tabata, Bobo, Rıdvan Şimşek, Necip Uysal, Fink and the newly signed keeper Ramazan Özcan, who was making his debut for the Black and White. Beşiktaş pressed for the equaliser throughout the half and their dominance paid dividends in the 71st minute when Bobo scored from penalty to bring the sides back on level terms once again. One minute from full time, Nihat Kahveci’s deflected cross from the right found its way into the Vitesse’s net and gave the Eagles their first lead in the match. But the Black and White’s joy would not last too long because an injury time penalty by Nisson made it 4-4 and took the match into penalty shoot-out.
While Bobo, Tabata, Tello and Necip Uysal all converted their penalties, Beşiktaş’s new keeper Ramazan Özcan denied Davy Propper and Claudemir Souza during the shoot-out to send the Black and White to the tournament final with a 8-6 victory.
