Ramazan Özcan Joins Beşiktaş on Loan

A statement sent to Istanbul Stock Exchange by the Beşiktaş Football Investments Co. revealed that Beşiktaş has sealed a loan deal with the German team TSG 1899 Hoffenheim for the goalkeeper Ramazan Özcan until the end of the season. 

The statement reads as follows:
“Beşiktaş Football Team has signed Ramazan Özcan on loan from the German Bundesliga side TSG 1899 Hoffenheim until the end of 2009-10 season. Both sides and the player have come to terms on the all matters regarding the loaning process. According to the agreement, while the German Team will be paid Euro 200,000 in two equal installments, Ramazan Özcan will receive Euro 150,000 in five equal installments together with a monthly salary and Euro 7,500 for each match he plays.  Beşiktaş has the option of signing him to a permanent contract at the end of the season.”
Who Is Ramazan Özcan?
Born on June 20, 1984 in Hohenems, Austria, the young keeper started his playing career at the SC Austria Lustenau. After spending three seasons there, he got transferred to Red Bull Salzburg in 2006 before being signed by the Bundesliga Team Hoffenheim in 2007.  The 1.88m tall Turkish descent won 25 Austria Under-21 international caps between 2004 and 2007. He was called up for the Euro 2008 finals but didn’t play. He has one appearance with Austrian national team.
