After the Manisaspor match, Beşiktaş Manager Mustafa Denizli commented on his side’s performance:

“The poor finishing cost us the win tonight. We have to be quicker and more focused in those situations. If we want to convert our chances, we should also learn to shoot the ball “away” from the keeper, not “at” him. Manisaspor is an easy side to beat on their home turf, and they have a habit of getting results against league contenders. This is also impontant.

We had a flurry of clear-cut chances in the first half but unfortunately failed to put them away. The ball got stuck in midfield for most of the second half with neither side gaining the upper hand. We still could have won the game down the stretch, if we came up with a better finishing shot. Nevertheless, it was a good test for both teams.”
