The visiting Beşiktaş Cola Turka Women’s Basketball dropped an 89-69 decision to Mersin Metropolitan Municipality in a TBBL Week 7 game at the Edip Buran Sports Hall.

In command with Esra’s three-pointers, the Lady Eagles opened a 5-point, 19-14, lead entering the final minute of the first quarter on a pair of free-throws by Sandra Mandir. But Deniz Boz and Larkins combined for 5 points in the dying seconds to tie the game at 19, heading into the second stanza. Mersin Metropolitan Municipality came out on fire in the second and got a series of clutch baskets from Korel and Şaziye to close out the half ahead, 39-32.
With back-to-back jumpers by Ree Turner, the home team maintained its lead in the third and was up 52-40 midway through the quarter. Beşiktaş Cola Turka tried to stage a comeback behind Esra and Mandir but could not contain hot-shooting Ranee Scott and Deniz Boz as Mersin carried a 62-50 advantage into the fourth. Then Sariye Gökçe stepped out and knocked down an array of jumpers down the stretch to lift Mersin Metropolitan Municipality to an impressive 89-69 home victory.
