Manchester United 0 – 1 Beşiktaş

On Champions League match day 5, our Black Eagles recorded a historic against mighty Manchester United with a 20th minute goal from Tello.

The match at Old Trafford and was refereed by Stephane Laurent Lannoy of French Football Federation.
A good crowd of traveling Beşiktaş fans cheered their team on throughout 90 minutes.
The United pushed for an early goal in the opening minutes, but some resolute defending from Beşiktaş kept the scores level. Then the Black and White’s counter-attacking strategy paid off when Tello put them in front with a thunderous shot from 25 yards out after 20 minutes. Manchester tried desperately to equalize in the remaining minutes, but a series of brilliant saves from the keeper Rustu Recber denied them the equalizer. Beşiktaş led 1-0 at half time.
In a bid to preserve their lead, the Black and White went all defensive in the second half and survived attack after attack from United. İbrahim Toraman and Tello both sustained injuries late in the match and were replaced by Erhan Güven and Uğur İnceman. Young Batuhan Karadeniz also came in the 84th minute for Bobo. Manchester United upped the pressure in the closing stages but were unable to get one past the keeper Rustu, as Beşiktaş ran out 1-0 winners to increase their point tally to four in Group B.
In their final match, the Black Eagles is scheduled to face CSKA Moscow at İnönü on December 8.
