Beşiktaş Cola Turka Women’s Basketball breezed past Chevakata of Russia, 80-62, in its FIBA European Cup Group F opener.
The game was real tight in the first with the Lady Eagles clinging to a slim two-point lead at 18-16. But the Black and White took control in the second quarter and was up 38-34 heading into the locker room at the intermission.Backed by an aggressive defense, Beşiktaş Cola Turka exploded in the third to extend the margin to 58-44 with one quarter to play. The Black Eagles never looked back in the fourth as they sailed to an 80-62 victory over their Russian hosts to post their first win in the group.
