Beşiktaş Cola Turka 83, Botaş 63

Beşiktaş Cola Turka Women’s Basketball whipped Botaş, 83-63, in Week 3 of the Turkish Women’s Basketball League at Cola Turca Arena.

With a starting line-up of Esra Erden, Nykesha Sales, Sandra Mandir, Gergana Branzova and Dubravka Dacic, the Black and Whites got off to a solid start and ran up a 24-13 first-quarter lead behind consecutive baskets from Dacic and Mandir
Beşiktaş Cola Turka continued to outplay its opponent in the second and stretched the gap to as many as 20 by the midway point en route to a 54-28 cushion at the break.
The third stanza saw the Lady Eagles ride the hot hands of Sandra Mandir and Lucie Melek as they extended their team’s advantage to an insurmountable 32 points midway through the quarter. From that point on, the Black and White eased up the pressure and took a 73-46 lead into the final frame.
Beşiktaş Cola Turka never looked back in the fourth and was safely ahead 74-54 with 5:00 to go. The visitors from Adana City made a last-ditch attempt to get back into the game in the closing stages, but it was to no avail as the Black & White had all the momentum to walk away with lopsided 83-63 victory.
