Beşiktaş Cola Turka 88, Turk Telekom 69

Beşiktaş Cola Turka Men’s Basketball pounded Turk Telekom, 88-69 to remain atop the standings with a perfect record.

Fueled by an aggressive defense, the Black Eagles opened the game with a 12-0 run and maintained a double-digit lead most of the way. While all 6 of Beşiktaş Cola Turka players that played in the first frame managed to get on the scoreboard, Turk Telekom tried to stay in the game with Owens and Hüseyin Beşok but trailed 33-18 heading into the second quarter.
The Black and Whites continued to dominate in the second and padded their lead with a back-to-back layups from Baxter and Fletcher. Chatman would step up and knock down consecutive jumpers in the dying minutes to give Beşiktaş Cola Turka an impressive 20-point, 55-35, advantage at the half. The Black and White shot 72% on two-point shots (18 of 25) and 50% from down (5 of 10) in the first half.
The sure-handed Chatman teamed up with Baxter in the third to extend the Eagles’ lead to 30 points at 69-39 midway through the quarter. The Black and White did not take its foot off the gas pedal in the remaining minutes and led 79-51 with one quarter to play.
Sitting on a 28-point lead, Beşiktaş Cola Turka got comfortable in the fourth and turned to its bench frequently to give some playing time to its young players. The Black Eagles won the game 88-69 to make it four in a row, enough to keep them atop the standings.
