Eskişehirspor 0 – 1 Beşiktaş

The Black and White traveled to Eskişehir Atatürk Stadium for a Turkcell Super League Week 10 fixture against Eskişehirspor and came away 1-0 winners thanks to an 83rd-minute goal from Ekrem Dağ.

Spurred on by a boisterous home crowd, Eskişehir attacked right from the opening whistle but also left large gaps at the back for Beşiktaş to counterattack. Ekrem Dağ came close to drawing first blood for the Black Eagles on 8 minutes but keeper Vanja Ivesa produced a superb save to deny him the goal. Although the match eventually turned into a midfield struggle, Beşiktaş forwards had their share of chances, maintaining constant pressure on the home team’s net, especially with long-range shots. Unfortunately, they were unable to get one past the tall Croat keeper, and the first half ended goalless.
Beşiktaş brought on Erhan and Nobre in the second half to bolster the front line. The substitutions paid off for the Black and White after 60 minutes, as they found their rhythm and began to attack with more determination. Soon after Nobre wasted an open-net opportunity, Ekrem Dağ took advantage of an Eskişehir defencive blunder to put Beşiktaş ahead seven minutes from time. Nihat almost added a second in the remaining minutes, but he squandered a pair of golden scoring chances; as the Black Eagles picked up a 1-0 way win.
