Beşiktaş Technical Director Mustafa Denizli assessed his team’s performance after Kasımpaşa match:
"If you analyzed Kasımpaşa’s last two games, you’d know that it was not going to be an easy match. After leading most of the 90 minutes, they lost to Galatasaray in closing stages and then salvaged a point away to a formidable Kayserispor side. These results have shown that they are on an upward trend. They’ve also had the advantage of practicing together for two weeks during the international match break. But this doesn’t apply for us because, due to international matches, we’ve been training with only 11-12 players during the same period. Of course we are not going hide behind this excuse, but it is a fact, and it has had a negative impact on our performance.Even though we created few chances in this match, the ones we had were clear cut, and we should’ve capitalized on them. All in all, we did not play as well as we’d like to tonight, but still managed to win in the end. But our fans should have a little patience and stand behind us until we are completely back on our feet. During these difficult times, we need their support to move forward. It is always uplifting to see and hear their joy and excitement after every time we scored. We can see that the walls between us and our fans are still there; but we are not worried at all because our troubled times will soon be over and those walls will be broken down.”
