Following the Denizlispor game, captain İbrahim Üzülmez and goal scorer Tabata talked to the press and said:   

Tabata: “In our past few matches, we were suffering from a scoring drought. Despite creating chances, we were unable to finish them off. It cost us some valuable points. But Beşiktaş is a great club; we worked hard and managed to break out of it in this game. I am overjoyed that I played a part in ending it. That goal also took the pressure off our shoulders.”
İbrahim Üzülmez: I am extremely pleased that we picked up three points from this match. This game was a crucial one for us, because we had to win it to end our scoring drought and stay close to our rivals. This team won two titles few months ago; so I don’t understand why our fans have turned their backs against us so early in the season. Every team may go through difficult times, but a true fan must support his team in every situation. We can come out of this crisis only if we stand united as a whole. 
This win will surely boost our morale for our upcoming matches. All we need is a winning streak. In fact, nothing has changed much since the last season. The players are the same, the coaches are the same; we only seem to lack the motivation we had last season. I am sure will get better as the season moves along.”
