Beşiktaş’s Slovakian International Striker Flip Holosko, who was injured in the Black and White’s Champions League match against CSKA Moscow last Wednesday, went through a successful operation today. After the operation, “My goal is simply get back on the pitch as quickly as possible,” he said to the press.

Holosko sustained a fractured right fibula in the first half of Beşiktaş’s Champions League tie in Moscow and was operated on at Maslak Acıbadem Hospital this morning.
Beşiktaş Club Doctor Şenol Akman also participated in the operation, which lasted approximately one hour. During the operation metal screws and a plate were installed on his fibula.
According to Doctor Akman the operation was quite successful, and the Slovakian would be discharged within a couple of days. He went on to add that Holosko’s physical therapy would take two months under the supervision of club doctors.
Filip Holosko was joined by his wife Adela and his daughter Sopie at the hospital.
After the operation Beşiktaş Striker talked to our website: “Following the defender’s tackle, I knew something was seriously wrong with my foot. I felt a sharp pain, and it started swelling immediately. It looked like a common and harmless swelling at first, but the MR results later showed that I had a fractured right fibula. Playing in Champions League was one of my main goals. I hope to recover soon and start playing for my team again.”
