The Champions League rivals of Beşiktaş--the only Turkish representative in the tournament this season—are announced. The Black Eagles will face Manchester United, CSKA Moscow and Wolfsburg in Group B.
At the group-stage draw, which was held in Monaco City last night, the Black and White were represented by Beşiktaş Secretary General Kenan Öner. The UEFA Champions League is the most prestigious international football competition at club level in Europe.Placed in the third seeding pot, the Eagles will be aiming at a top-two finish in Group B that includes Manchester United, CSKA Moscow and Wolfsburg.
The group games are scheduled to be played between September 15 and December 9, 2009. The final of the Europe’s most popular tournament will take place in Madrid on May 22, 2010.
