Beşiktaş Men’s Volleyball has signed Mark Siebecek, who is one of most consistent players of the German National Team, to a one-year contract.
Born in 1975, the 1.97m tall German spiker has participated in 2001, 2002, and 2003 FIVB World Leagues, 2001 and 2003 European Championships, and 2008 Beijing Olympics, as a member of his country’s national team.Mr.Bülent Deriş, Beşiktaş Board Member in Charge of Volleyball, Handball, Rowing and Boxing Branches, drew everyone’s attention to the importance of German player’s transfer to the Black Eagles and added, “After signing Barutov, the addition of Siebecek has further strengthened our squad. Having an experienced player such as Mark in the lineup is every coach’s dream. This team will definitely be a team to beat next season. We are still negotiating for our third international star and will let you know soon. With his addition and the continuous backing of our devoted fans, we are looking forward to great accomplishments next season.”
The General Manager of Beşiktaş Volleyball Branch Aziz Kalaoğlu also commented on the new transfer:
“With Mark Siebecek, our Men’s Volleyball outfit has become much more powerful. He is an experienced and consistent player. He will be a big asset for us, both defensively and offensively. In the meantime, our search for new players has not ended yet. We are still in the market for a couple good players, whom we expect to sign soon. Then, everyone will get chance to see the new Beşiktaş.”
