Beşiktaş 0-0 Porto

Having tied with Porto 0-0 at the Peace Cup held in Spain, our Football Team finished the group in second place to wave it goodbye.

Before facing off against Porto in the second match in the D Group of the Peace Cup, our Football Team had played against Olympique Lyon in Huelva's Colombo Stadium and drew 1-1.
The Black and Whites began the match at the Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium in Sevilla with the following squad: Rüştü Reçber, İsmail Köybaşı, Sivok, Ferrari, Erhan Güven, Fink, Ernst, Uğur İnceman, Serdar Özkan, Holosko, Bobo.
In the first half of the game, both teams sought for goal opportunities. However as there were no goals in the first 45 minutes, the two teams headed to the locker room with the score of 0-0. Uğur İnceman was the first one to be shown yellow card in the 17th minute, followed by Sivok in the 29th minute.
Rüştü Reçber was substituted with Hakan Arıkan at the start of the second half. Miguel Lopes of Porto was shown yellow carded in the 54th minute as he tackled Holosko illegally. Nobre and Tello joined the match in the 63rd minute in place of Serdar Özkan and Uğur İnceman. Porto’s Belluschi took a yellow carded too in the 66th minute. Holosko was substituted with Erkan Zengin in the 75th minute before Bobo was replaced with Nihat Kahveci in the 79th minute. Following a long break, Nihat was on the pitch once again wearing the black and white strip. Porto’s Hulk saw the yellow card in the 90th minute. Despite the good game they showed in the second half in comparison to the first half, the Black and Whites couldn’t score a goal and ended the match 0-0.
Having beaten Olympique Lyon 2-0 in the group, Porto, finished the group as the leader with 4 points to go onto the semi finals. Porto's opponent in the semi-finals will be Aston Villa. Our Black and Whites ended the D Group in second place with 2 points.
