Serbian Spiker for Women’s Volleyball

Beşiktaş Women’s Volleyball Team signed hitter Jasna Majstrovic to help bolster the club’s offense. She not only started for the Serbian National Team but also captained Serbian league title winners Postar 064 Beograd last season.

1.82m tall, 1984 born Jasna had won 4 Serbian league titles and 4 Serbian cups in her career. After finishing second in the 2002 European Top Teams Cup, her team was a runner up in the 2007 European Juniors Championship.

In the meantime, the Black and White resigned Yağmur Koçyiğit to a one-year contract. She was loaned to the Spanish First Division side Aguere past season. 1.84m tall and 1988 born Hülya is also a hitter.

Mr.Bülent Deriş, Board Member in Charge of Volleyball, Handball, Rowing and Boxing branches, commented on the new transfers:

“We are trying to put together a highly competitive women’s volleyball squad for the upcoming season. Keeping this objective in mind, we’ve added Jasna Majstrovic to our roster. She is a key member of the Serbian National Team. In line with our Head Coach Bülent Karslıoğlu’s wishes, we also brought back Yağmur Kocyiğit, who played in the Spanish First Division on loan last season. We plan to sign a couple of more international stars and aim at the top spot next year.”
