After resigning 6 players from last year’s squad, the Women’s Volleyball added Müge Şakar from Bursa Nilüfer Belediyesi to its roster.

In an effort to build a championship side, Beşiktaş Women’s Volleyball has signed Müge Şakar to a one-year contract from Bursa Nilüfer Belediyesi. The 1.85m tall, 1981 born Müge plays middle blocker.
In addition to Müge, Beşiktaş resigned liberos  Pınar Eren and Melis Şahin, setter’s diagonals Yeliz Askan and Hilal Yabuz, hitter Gizem Sancak and setter Cansu Aydınoğulları to one-year contracts.
After Müge Şakar’s signing, Mr.Bülent Deriş, Board Member in Charge of Volleyball, Handball, Rowing and Boxing provided information on the new signings:
“Our search for new players is going ahead non-stop. In addition to the recent signings of Zeynep Seda Erüz from Eczacıbaşı Zentvia and Duygu Sipahioğlu from Fenerbahçe, we now added Müge Şakar from Bursa Nilüfer Belediyesi to our squad. This season, we want to put together a team which is capable of aiming at the top spot. Without going over the budget, we will beef up our team with a couple of foreign stars. We hope to create a team which will please our fans with its first – class competitive style. We expect them to come out and support us in our upcoming games.”
