Fink: “I Would Do Anything for the Team”

The newly transfer Michael Fink, said he was a team player and would do anything for his team in an interview for BJK TV.

Summarising his game attitude as “fighter and combatant”, our German footballer went onto say he would “do anything for the team.” He added the following: “I’m a fighter. I would do all I can defensively but in order to better serve the team, I try to go on the offensive and score.”
Explaining how he got to know the team and community in a short time, Fink said: “There really is a beautiful atmosphere here. All my friends are helping me greatly. I in turn am trying to adapt as fast as possible. I think good things await us all.”
The German player says he scores 3 or 4 goals every year despite playing midfield. He adds: “I scored 5 last year. Of course it’s hard to predict whether it would be a header or a kick. I even scored with a scissors kick. What’s important is to serve the team and score critical goals.”
Fink praises his fellow citizen and team mate Fabian Ernst before going onto say the following: “After joining the team, Fabian contributed greatly to Beşiktaş becoming the champion with his successful performance. My aim is to showcase high performance like he does and to be loved by fans. We know each other from Germany. We competed against each other many times. Our goal is to add positive power to the team and display the same success.”
In response to the reminder that they will compete in the Champions League next season, Fink said “It is very important to play at the Champions League. Beşiktaş has achieved that. We will face off against not only Europe’s but rather the world’s select teams. Of course playing at İnönü, with the backing of our fans is a huge advantage. It is highly likely that we will win the games in Istanbul, but if we are successful in getting the points we need abroad, we will reach the point we desire. Honestly, it’s not easy to win a match at the Champion’s League. We plan to reach that success.”
According to Fink, Istanbul is an incredible city, and despite the short time he spent here, he has very positive impressions. “The texture of the city, cafes by the shores of the Bosphorus, restaurants, and watching the changing lights of the bridge are incredible. Istanbul is a moving and beautiful city.”
Describing the Beşiktaş fans as “extremely exciting”, Fink concluded his words by talking about our fans and the atmosphere of the stadium: “Crazy fans of Beşiktaş give one a huge propelling force and a massive support. I anxiously wait to meet them. Even before coming to Turkey, I had heard about the fame of Beşiktaş fans. It will be beautiful and different to play there.”
