The first tree of the Beşikaş’s Memorial Forest in Izmir City to be established jointly by Beşiktaş Club Members Associatişon and Aegean Forestry Foundation was planted by President Yıldırım Demirören.  

The tree-planting ceremony of planned Beşiktaş Memorial Forest took place at the Laka planting site of the Bornova District.
After planting the first tree, “Every tree in this forest will be a Beşiktaş Fan; I invite all our fans to take part in this campaign,” said President Demirören.
The Chairman of Aegean Forestry Foundation and Bakioğlu Holding Mr. Cem Bakioğlu stressed that the planting site lost all its previous trees due to local forest fires and they planted over one million trees since 2000.
