In the aftermath of the match, our Technical Director Mustafa Denizli had some emotional moments:
"Today is one of the finest days in Beşiktaş history. I am overwhelmed with joy and finding it difficult to express my feelings. Coming this far has sure not been easy. There were days we worked 15-16 hours a day. We’ve managed to reap the benefits of our hard work in the end. Ironically, today is also the anniversary of my brother’s death. He is the major reason why I am a Beşiktaş supporter today. I wish he was alive to see this day. Then, there are my daughters who are celebrating our victory abroad right now. I dedicate this championship to all of them. Of course, we wouldn’t be here without the help of our management, technical staff, players and devoted fans. Every single one of them deserves to be praised here. My special thanks go to our President Yıldırım Demirören and his lovely wife, who speared no effort in making this dream a reality. This is also the first time I win both the Turkish and League Cup in a single season. On the other hand, it is a great honor to be the only manager to take the top 3 Istanbul teams to the league title. Although I won league championships at Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, this title means a lot to me because I’ve been a true Beşiktaş supporter since I was four years old. Thanks to the togetherness established in our team, we’ve become a like a family in recent months; and this is definitely the finest hour of that family."
