In the aftermath of Beşiktaş’s precious 2-1 derby victory, our Technical Director Mustafa Denizli commented on the Black Eagles’ performance:

“It was not an easy game for us because we were playing against one the top teams in the League. Therefore, we are extremely pleased with the score. Now, we have one more match to go before we are officially crowned as the League Champions. But we must remain focused and determined; because anything may happen in football. Few weeks ago, everyone was counting us out due to our difficult schedule; but after our loss to Fenerbahçe we managed to change the odds in our favor with back-to-back wins. Even though Galatasaray had more possession on the ball, we had better chances and capitalized on them. Now, we are looking forward to our next and final league meeting:”
